2022 Incidents
Rutland Fire Department recieved several 911 calls reporting a 2 car motor vehicle accident. Engine 4, Tac 1, and Car 2 responded and found a red Ferrari that had rear-ended a blue SmartCar. Rutland firefighters asessed the situation, finding no injuries between the two drivers. The cars were checked to make sure nothing was on fire and Rutland Fire Department cleared the shortly after. Rutland State Police is investigating the crash.

On June 21, at approximately 1845 hours, multiple 9-1-1 calls were placed, reporting a fire out of control near West Windbrook. Due to confusion between the callers and dispatch, multiple units were sent for a wildfire. Upon the arrival of Engine 20, Engine 21, and Brush 14, units found a bonfire out of control with already burned areas. Multiple units were canceled and remaining trucks arrived and cleared up the scene quickly. LDOF Engine 16 arrived, assisting with cleanup and handing out tickets to bystanders who started the bonfire, a direct violation of Brickmont's No-Burn policy. Units cleared the scene 2030 hours, and the last unit left shortly after. Nobody was hurt. |
